MAde up kitchen began as ‘People’s Kitchen’ in 2012 with a group of like minded souls freely sharing our Sundays… INVITING STRANGERS TO TRANSFORM FOOD WASTE INTO COMMUNITY FEASTS
For 5 years we turned a dance floor into a community kitchen at Passing Clouds (Dalston) with people popping in to improvise a buffet banquet from locally sourced surplus
With Funding we went on to set up Feasts & Family Friday Cooking Sessions in Kingsmead Estate (Hackney) for 2 years,
& a year at Weavers Adventure Playground (Bethnal Green) with dinner served in the Park over Summer,
